Good to know
Can I download the app yet?
Not yet. Plan Sunlight is still in development and is not an App Store release. Release timing and pricing have not been announced, and this site does not take payment.
What will the app help me plan?
Choose a place by Apple Maps search, an optional current-location request or manual coordinates. Pick an explicit time zone, explore supported dates from 2000–2099, read solar azimuth and elevation with sunrise, sunset and daylight, compare two dates, then save, back up or export a plan.
Does the line on the map show a shadow?
No. It shows an illustrative bearing toward the sun from the sample place, relative to true north. It does not calculate shadows or account for buildings, trees or terrain.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Yes for manual coordinates, time-zone selection and solar calculations. Apple Maps search and map content may need a connection, and current location depends on your permission and the device’s location services. There is no app account or app-operated cloud sync.
Why is purchasing unavailable?
Payment products and prices are not configured in the development preview. Purchase and Restore controls do not charge you or create an entitlement. We’ll update the site when a paid release is ready.
Are my plans sent to analytics?
Not by the current release candidate: production analytics delivery is disabled. A future App Store build may send coarse usage, paywall A/B and purchase-state events through TelemetryDeck by default, with a Settings opt-out. Those signals are designed to exclude coordinates, place or plan names, selected dates, share contents, receipts and transaction IDs. Plans and backups remain local or in a destination you choose; see the Privacy Policy for details.
What to include in a support request
Your app version, iPhone model, iOS version and a short description of what happened are usually enough. A screenshot can help, but remove personal details first. Never send an Apple password, payment information or private coordinates.
